Thanet Safe Haven received a special visitor on Christmas Day, welcoming Kate Pope, Mayor of Margate, to the service. The Mayor visited to recognise and thank staff who were working over the festive period, bringing Christmas dinners for the team and spending time with them during her visit.

During her time at the Safe Haven, the Mayor met team members, viewed the service, and learned more about the vital mental health crisis support available to local people, even on Christmas Day.

The visit was warmly received by the team and provided a welcome moment of appreciation and recognition for staff continuing to support the community during the holiday period.
